Web-based User Interface for Management of DNA Sample Analysis
RDVO was contracted to develop a custom web application that enables automated workflow of Agencourt's rapid DNA sequencing services. Customers place their order online by selecting from any of 14 services.
Agencourt Bioscience is one the world's largest commercial DNA sequencing labs. To improve communications and operations, the company decided to develop an online application that would allow users to submit DNA sample information and track its sequencing workflow.
RDVO worked with scientific and operational teams to define the complex workflows involved DNA sequencing. This research was used to craft the application's architecture and page flows. We develop a wide range of use cases and logical flows and built the application to meet all possible usage scenarios.
After defining the underlying structure, we developed the user interface, ensuring that the application was easy-to-use and consistent with Agencourt's online style guide.
We also developed all front-end code and functionality and collaborated with the internal technology team to integrate the application into the back-end Oracle platform.
